You know who you are.
You know what you’ve done.
This would all be a lot less fun without you.
So thanks.
Here’s hoping we’re all still typing away together in twenty years.

IT WASN’T EXACTLY a triumphant homecoming.

And this time, I kept my eyes open—as he carried me home and into whatever life we chose to make, together.

I picked this series up because I met the author.
Extract (may contain spoilers)
DRAGONS ARE good at a fair number of things, but one thing most dragons are pretty terrible at is being quiet. They’re just too darned big, and most have egos to match. If they’re going to attack, they want their opponent to know who’s about to eat them.

Which means very few people are worried about watching their backs for dragon sneak-attacks.

Their mistake.

I took the one in the trees first. Not without making a fair bit of noise, but it was dark enough, I doubted they could make out exactly what happened. At least not until he hit the ground and the blue glow around the house thinned a little.

He wasn’t dead—at least, I hoped not. I’d just pulled him out of the tree and let gravity do the rest of the work. To be honest, I wasn’t sure whether I could purposefully take the life of someone who wasn’t actively attacking me. Up until now, I hadn’t actually killed anyone directly that I knew of. I didn’t know what it would feel like, and I didn’t really want to know.

While the fae were still trying to figure out why their guy had fallen out of the tree, I launched myself into the air and flew up to the roof, brushing off the magic of their glowing barrier without much thought. There was no cover, so the two attackers up there spotted me pretty quickly. One of them staggered backward, looking a little horrified, and checked behind her as if she were considering jumping off the roof to get away from me. The other one seemed to have a bit more fortitude—he lifted what looked like a compact crossbow and took a shot.

The bolt glanced off the scales on my shoulder, narrowly missing my wings.

My wings were really the only chance the fae had at taking me down. Their magic couldn’t hurt me directly, and their weapons couldn’t penetrate my scales. If they could take out my wings, however, I wouldn’t be able to get away.

From amazon.com:

You know it’s time to reconsider your life choices when…

Where do I start?

Technically, it could have been worse. My visit to the dragon enclave could’ve ended with me being eaten. Somehow I survived—with a few new bruises—and now all I want is to go home. Back to Twenty-third Street. Back to my house, my cat, and my grumpy, bathrobe-wearing gargoyle roommate.

But nothing is as simple as it used to be. My store is in shambles, there’s a traitor running around loose, and every bounty hunter in Oklahoma seems to want a piece of my hide—literally. Worst of all? The man who just might be my mate has disappeared during a desperate attempt to save his brother’s life.

I’ve never been the sort of dragon to sit on my hands when my friends are in trouble, so I can’t help but get involved. But this time, it’s going to take more than a bit of dragon fire to keep my friends safe.

The fae queen has been making her own plans, none of which involve us surviving the next ten days. When we can’t seem to stay ahead of her magic or her mercenaries, the only chance to save my friends is a potentially deadly gamble—where a single mistake could bring disaster not only for us, but for every Idrian refugee on Earth.

Only one thing is for certain—I’m going to need a lot more tea.

Don’t miss this action packed conclusion to The Dragon of 23rd Street Trilogy, a YA Urban Fantasy that’s perfect for fans of Linsey Hall, Bella Forrest, and Annette Marie. If you love snarky dragons, dangerous fae, sweet, slow-burn romance, and non-stop twists, grab a copy and start reading today!

  • I try to maintain page numbers for audiobooks even though obviously there aren't any. I do this to keep track of pages read and I try to use the Kindle version page numbers for this.
  • Synopses marked with an asterisk (*) were generated by an AI. There aren't a lot since this is an iffy way to do it - AI seems to make stuff up.
  • When specific publication dates are unknown (ie prefixed with a "Cir"), I try to get the publication date that is closest to the specific printing that I can.
  • When listing chapters, I only list chapters relevant to the story. I will usually leave off Author Notes, Indices, Acknowledgements, etc unless they are relevant to the story or the book is non-fiction.
  • Page numbers on this site are for the end of the main story. I normally do not include appendices, extra material, and other miscellaneous stuff at the end of the book in the page count.
